Writing Your First Audio Script: Ads

Option 1: Crafting a Script Using the AI Script Assistant

Let's walk through creating ad copy for an audio ad (it’s super easy, we promise). For more info on this, read our post on how to create an audio ad using Wondercraft.

Select Ads: From the project options, click on 'Ads.' You'll see a page like this:

Browse Prompts
: On the left, you'll find various prompt categories for ads, such as:

  • Generate variations of an existing ad.
  • Convert a podcast ad to a radio ad.
  • Create a host-read ad.

Each prompt comes with a specific text template to guide you. Replace the text in brackets [ ] with your specific details.

Generate your script: After customizing your prompt, hit “Enter” or “Use Prompt” to send it to the AI script assistant. Your script will appear on the editing page, where you can further modify it.

Option 2: Importing Your Script

If you already have a script prepared, simply paste or start typing your script on the right-hand side of the edit page. The AI will automatically integrate it into the timeline for editing.

Selecting Voices for Your Script

1. Open the Voice Library: Click on “Voice” from the sidebar.

2. Preview and Select Voices: Hover over a voice and click “Play” to preview it. Once you’ve found a voice you like, click the “+” button to apply it to a specific clip or all clips in your script.

3. Regenerate Speech: After assigning a voice, click “Regenerate All” to update the speech in your script.

Adding Music and Sound Effects

1. Music Library: Click “Music” from the sidebar. Preview different tracks by hovering over them and clicking “Play.” To add a soundtrack, click the “+” button.

2. Sound Effects Library: Need a few sound effects to enhance your audio? Click “SFX” from the sidebar, preview different effects, and click the “+” button to add them to your timeline.

Editing and Finalizing Your Track

Timeline Editor: Use Wondercraft’s easy-to-use timeline editor to adjust your audio’s flow, timing, and effects.

Parrot Mode: Fine-tune specific words with “Parrot Mode” to ensure the AI says them exactly how you want.

Real-Time Collaboration: If you’re in a team workspace, share your progress and receive feedback in real-time.

Listening to and Exporting Your Track

1. Preview Your Track: Click the play button on the timeline to hear your track in real time.

2. Export Your Track: Once you’re satisfied with the final product, click “Export” in the top right corner of the page. Choose from various formats like MP3, MP4, or WAV.
